Last year sometime, my partners at Unkommon Kolor made their way in to a clothing boutique out in Ft. Worth. That night another new clothing line had caught my attention. These kids showed up complete with camera crews to document the evenings' events. This was the first time they caught my attention, but it wouldn't be the last. I continued to follow their movement from afar. The first time I got to speak with the creator behind the designs, I finally began to understand that there was more to the clothing than just meets the eye. Being young, creative and forward-thinking are all qualities that we salute here at THEURBANADVOCATE.COM; and those are all qualities that Loyal K.N.G. possess.
Loyal K.N.G. was established by Trung Vuong back in 2009. The idea behind the line was to capture the essence of our culture and influences we've picked up in our lifetime. K.N.G. literally stands for "Knowledge Never Goes"; the knowledge we pick up throughout our life and the things we see and experience in our time coming up never leaves us. In fact, it those things that essentially shape us for the rest of our lives, and Loyal K.N.G. wants to be sure we never forget those things. Their designs are easily recognizable with themes and colors of popular cartoons and video games from our childhood. But, Loyal K.N.G. are more than just a clothing line, they are a lifestyle brand. The brand is centered in the urban, skateboarding and gaming cultures. Loyal K.N.G. has proven itself to be a leader in preserving the integrity of the culture. With a successful clothing line, blog and an all-access web series called "This is Loyal K.N.G.", the crew has developed quite a following over the past couple of years. A following that continues to grow and shows no signs of slowing down.
