Just Say Go
Since this website was initially launched in 2009, The Urban Advocate hasn't featured a lot of R&B singers. Not because we don't like R&B (it's actually the genre I listen to the most in my spare time), but more so because there aren't a lot of R&B singers here in Dallas. Then the ones that are here, aren't anywhere near consistent enough to be featured on the The Urban Advocate. Well, that doesn't apply to Keith Jacobs.
The Houston, TX native has been heavy on the scene in Dallas for the past few years. But this crooner is no new comer to music; in fact he's been at it for years. Like most singers, Keith Jacobs got his start singing in the church. But he developed a passion for singing after listening to greats, such as Donnie Hathaway, Michael Jackson and Prince. After completing his education at Southern University with an MBA, Jacobs decided to continue to pursue a career in music. His style is a fusion between Urban R&B and Contemporary R&B. As a songwriter, Jacobs says his songs a very indicative of his real life. To date, Jacobs has released a number of projects including Just Say Go, 3 Days and his self-titled EP. Keith Jacobs music speaks for itself, but his work ethic is what nails the point home. Aside from releasing multiple projects of his own, Jacobs has worked with the likes Dee-1, The Rap Pack and DJ ASAP. He is also the host of the annual Dallas Greek Picnic which takes place at William B. Blair Park in Dallas. Natural star quality coupled with his work ethic is apart of the reason why Keith Jacobs has great potential to become star in the future.
