Approximately, 3,000 kids our city are currently effected by homelessness. So, this autumn The Urban Advocate is launching a new initiative to help provide basic essential items to children effected by homelessness in the Dallas area.
For a little over a year now, The Urban Advocate has been working in conjunction with ArcAngel Productions to produce a new short film series entitled, "Devil's Town". We are proud to announce the first installment is now finished and will be released on June 8th!
When The Urban Advocate started back in 2008, we were fed up with the negative music and images being pumped through the mainstream media about urban culture. One of the artists we took notice to early on was Slingshot David, better known as Dee-1.
In October of 2016, a website by the name of The Marketing Ivy released an interview with Remon, the founder of The Urban Advocate. For whatever reason, the interview was taken down from their site. Due to the great feedback, we have decided to re-release this interview for our people to read.
Remon is a multi-media personality. He is the founder of The Urban Advocate, co-host of The Vincent Tucker Radio Show and videographer.
