There are only few Christian artists who can say they've achieved the same level of success as Lecrae. A few gold plaques, Grammy awards and world tours deep in the game, Lecrae wants to bring Restoration to a dying world.
It's been a couple of years since Lecrae has dropped some new music. The last project Let The Trap Say Amen was released back in 2018; while many hip-hop fans praised the album, many Christian Hip Hop criticized Lecrae for leaving his CHH roots and collaborating with secular artists and producers.
Lecrae recently took to instagram and shared with his fans he was planning to release a new album but debated whether or not he should drop it due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. He ultimately decided that now more than ever, people needed music to bring hope during these dark times. Restoration is slated to be released at some point in 2020. The first single from the new project is a track called "Set Me Free". The track features interpolation of the classic Mary Mary song "Shackles". The video is dark and is sure to fuel the Lecrae/illuminati talk that's been happening on Youtube over the years.
