For the 9th year, MBK Dallas teamed up with Emerald City Bar & Grill, Radio One and Street Speaker Media to feed homeless and low-income residents in the South Dallas area.
In a city that's known for it's championship professional sports teams and growing economy, it's surprising that Dallas has the highest child poverty rate in the country among cities with more than 1 million people. Approximately, 3,000 kids our city are currently effected by homelessness. So, this autumn The Urban Advocate is launching a new initiative to help provide basic essential items to children effected by homelessness in the Dallas area.
It's that time of the year again! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and MBK Dallas is gearing up for the 8th Annual Thanksgiving Drive!
The cast and crew of The Vincent Tucker Radio Show always seem to find themselves in some interesting conversations, especially during the Myskenna's "He Say, She Say" segment. Well, this time the conversation nearly goes off the rails when Myskenna asks the fellas if they judge a woman who is a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets?
On Thanksgiving Day (Nov.26), The Urban Advocate helped put on the 7th annual MBK Dallas: Feed The Homeless drive for some very deserving people in the South Dallas area. Once again, organizers Nikki Hayes, Vincent Tucker and Remon Johnson teamed up with Radio One Dallas, Nina Zavala Group and many other groups and volunteers to give back to many of the homeless inhabitants and residents in the area.
Remon is a multi-media personality. He is the founder of The Urban Advocate, co-host of The Vincent Tucker Radio Show and videographer.
