Comedian Q Coleman Talks Reality Show #LoveGoals, Comedy and George Floyd

When you're in the entertainment industry, you rarely come across genuine people. In 2011, I was introduced to a local event promoter, host and comedian. Over the years, as we began working together he always remained one of the most humble, giving and supportive brothers on the Dallas entertainment scene. Even after being seen two reality television shows with his future wife, the legendary DJ Spinderella, Q Coleman is still as humble as a brother that I met all those years ago. 

For anybody out there who is only familiar with Quenton "Q" Coleman from being one of the stars of OWN Network's reality TV show, "Love Goals", you may confuse him with just being the guy who joked about being DJ Spinderella's "handler". When in actuality, Q has been making his own way for over a decade now. Aside from sharing the stage with some of the biggest black comedians, Q is the creator of one of the longest running comedy series "We Got Next Comedy Series" and one of the members of The Ratt Packs of Comedy. 

We recently caught up with Q Coleman and had a nice conversation. He tells us what it was like being in the house while filming "Love Goals" as well as his perspective on marriage and relationships. We get to discuss his views on the recent passing of DJ Lil Bro and what things have been like at "Neo Soul Sundays" given the current state of social distancing in America. Also we get to know his feelings on the recent death of George Floyd, who he would like to see in a comedy Verzuz battle and why he won't be doing any virtual comedy shows any time soon.
