On Thanksgiving Day (Nov.26), The Urban Advocate helped put on the 7th annual MBK Dallas: Feed The Homeless drive for some very deserving people in the South Dallas area. Once again, organizers Nikki Hayes, Vincent Tucker and Remon Johnson teamed up with Radio One Dallas, Nina Zavala Group and many other groups and volunteers to give back to many of the homeless inhabitants and residents in the area.
Special shout out to the volunteers who make this event possible each year. We couldn't possibly do pull this event off year in and year out without the help of a group of giving people who are willing to take time out of their holiday to spend time with some very deserving people. Despite a slow start and the threat of a little rain, the event went off well. Please check out some of the highlights below:
