According to a blog post at PlayStation, Sony announces a new model of the wildly popular PlayStation 4 that will come with a full one terabyte hard drive. Called ‘The Ultimate Player Edition,’ the beefed-up PS4 will extend player’s time with more add-on content. “Offering twice the storage of the existing PS4, you’ll be able to download more of the games you love, save, and share even more of your gaming highlights,” the brand said in its blog post.
The news comes on the heels of Microsoft’s Xbox One letting its fans know it would be releasing a one terabyte console earlier this month. Sony is promising that its console will be faster and more responsive, with the existing 500GB console being revamped to shave 10 percent of its overall weight and increase energy efficiency by a further eight percent. While all that sounds good, the home of Nathan Drake, the upcoming Final Fantasy VII revamp, and Hitman has yet to announce an official price point.
We expect it to make the Xbox One at roughly $500, but until we know confirmed details, consider this all speculative.
Now I'm not a big gamer. As a matter of fact, I haven't played a video game in years! I think the last video game I remember getting into was NBA 2002. Not that I don't necessarily like video games, just don't really have much time for them. However, I may want to give it a try with the new release of the Playstation 4. Details have emerged about the new edition of the highly popular game console. Hip Hop Wired says; The "Ultimate Player" is not available for pre-order as of now, so we'll all just have to wait until the release date which is expected to be released in Europe on July 15.
