Gentleman Jack for the third consecutive year is striving to provide a platform for up-an-coming African American filmmakers with the Real To Reel short film showcase.
For the second consecutive year, Real To Reel opened up the door to 3 Black filmmakers to premiere their films in front of a Dallas audience. The showcase also made stops in New York and Los Angeles. While last year the event was hosted by Anthony Rose and Omari Hardwick, this year actor, Lance Gross stood in for Hardwick.
During a special Q&A, we heard from Rose, Gross and Dallas representatives, J. Rhodes and Kory Williams. Last year, the duo brought the first silent film to the festival, this year they continued to push the envelope with their new film, Metronome.
